Within the framework of the “Industrial Cooperation Protocol” made with Sikorsky in 1998, the horizontal stabilizer, tail rotor pylon and tail cones of S-70A helicopters are being manufactured at TAI’s facilities. In the S-70A stabilizer program, with the additional orders received in 2006, the total number of orders reached 629. Deliveries of the S-70A tail cones and tail rotor pylons, the total order of which is 217 each, are ongoing as scheduled.

Following the success of TAI in the Black Hawk component manufacturing program, in line with the contract signed with Sikorsky in 2002, horizontal stabilizer wing, horizontal stabilizer center box, tail rotor pylon and tail cones of MH-60 helicopters are being manufactured at TAI’s facilities. 

The program, regarding the manufacturing of seven items of spare spar parts of horizontal stabilizers and tail rotor pylons of MH-60 and S-70A helicopters, became effective in November 2003. 

The program, regarding the manufacturing of paddles to meet the spare parts requirement of horizontal stabilizers of Sikorsky NH-60 helicopters, became effective in March 2004. 

The program, regarding the delivery of the kits which consist of subassemblies as well as the present deliveries of horizontal stabilizer, tail rotor pylon and tail cone components for MH-60 and S-70 helicopters, became effective in June 2004. With the additional orders received in 2006, the total number of orders reached 109 sets. Manufacturing activities are ongoing as scheduled.

Within the framework of the program, regarding the manufacturing of S-76 horizontal stabilizers since the year 1995 as a sole source.

The “Fit-out” program, signed in January 2005, includes the manufacturing and assembly of hydraulic and harness of 50 sets of Sikorsky MH-60/S-70 Tail Rotor Pylon and Tail Cone components. Under the program, and in line with the negotiations realized with Sikorsky, the first units, the manufacture of which were completed in 2006, were decided to be delivered in 2007. The deliveries of the “fit-out” program of MH-60 tail rotor pylon and tail cone components will start to be delivered in August 2007.

A total of 11 units of composite fairings of 50 sets of MH-60/S-70A tail rotor pylon and tail cones will be manufactured at TAI’s facilities. The program, the tool and test parts manufacturing of which were completed in 2006, will be initiated following the receipt of the necessary technical document from Sikorsky.

A total of 80 sets of tail and tail cones of UH-60M helicopters will be manufactured at TAI’s facilities. Under the program, in which the manufacture of assembly tools were completed in 2006, and the product content of which was diversified with the additional requirement of hydraulic and electrical accessories, the first delivery is scheduled to be realized in June 2007.

In other Sikorsky programs, which include the manufacturing of detail and sub-assembly parts, deliveries were realized as scheduled in 2006.
