ELECTRO-OPTICAL (EO) RECONNAISSANCE AND SURVEILLANCE SATELLITE SYSTEM (GOKTURK) 

In accordance with the resolution taken at the Defense Industry Executive Committee meeting of June 2005, TAI was designated as the main local partner in GÖKTÜRK Program.

The aim of the GÖKTÜRK-1 project is procurement of a satellite and related ground systems required by Turkish Armed Forces in line with technological cooperation, joint development and joint usage principles in order to meet the requirements of acquisition of high resolution imagery for military intelligence from any place in the world without any geographical restriction.

Within scope of this project, the National Satellite Assembly Integration and Test Center will be established at TAI.
